The Head of Business & Operations for the Stealth Company that Magnet is incubating will be responsible for evolving and executing the business strategy, leading business development and corporate partnerships, and overseeing day-to-day operations of a content and commerce business spearheaded by world-class athletes. Reporting directly to the founding CEOs and partnering with the Chief Content Officer, this person will serve as a member of the leadership team and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business.

The ideal candidate…
Help evolve a content and commerce business strategy, informed by a deep understanding of current trends and changing competitive landscape, particularly among millennial and Gen Z women and girls who are motivated by and driven to connect with athletes.
Partner with the Chief Content Officer to create and maximize partnerships with creative talent, media companies, and consumer brands.
Develop and lead implementation of strategy to extend digital IP to other content platforms, other media, in live events, as physical goods, etc.
Lead negotiations for acquisitions and licensing of IP.
Oversee day-to-day business operations.
Work collaboratively with the creative team to shape and realize the overall strategic plans for the company.
Proven expertise and experience working as a business leader in a strong creative environment.
Experience building and executing business strategies to develop, acquire, and license IP and monetize across media platforms, IRL events, consumer products, and beyond.
Deep understanding of the current marketplaces and platforms on which media and consumer products brands can efficiently and effectively build audiences and how to implement profitable business models.
Strong knowledge and passion for female-focused media -- the ideal candidate should be familiar with relevant programming on leading all media platforms.
Passion for sports and for sports-related content and experiences.
Understanding of television, publishing, spoken-word audio, music, digital, sports, and pop culture trends.
The ability and desire to manage the operations of an early-stage startup.
Someone with a strategic view and the ability to assess risks and opportunities.
A leader capable of influencing through trust, communication, logic, and a constructively critical approach.
